Commercial Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) tell you how energy efficient a building is on a scale of A-G. The most efficient buildings - which should have the lowest fuel bills - are in band A.

The Certificate also tells you, on a scale of A-G, the impact the building has on the environment. Better-rated buildings will have a smaller impact through less carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

The Certificate includes recommendations on ways to improve the building’s efficiency to save money and to help improve the environment. The purpose of the EPC is to show prospective occupiers the energy performance of the dwelling they are considering occupying.
